TARGET: public relations for fund raising

Hi all,

As well as being the k-12 librarian in our small, rural Iowa commuinty I am
on the Public Library Foundation Board of Directors.  At our meeting last
night we were told that the Library Long Range Planning Committee has
decided to recommend building a new library.  We will need to raise around
$800,000.

What I am asking for is:

Do you know of any small town (under 2000) libraries that recently had a
successful fundraising campaign?  Can you give me their name/address etc.?

Do you have any ideas for campaign slogans? (These I need fast, we want to
include a slogan in our article announcing the decision ASAP)

Do you have any flyers/brochures, general PR info? Things that we could
look at to give us ideas?

Anything else you think might be helpful.....
