Katrina, I don't know any other profession that can be staffed by anyone
who enters the door. I hired someone who entered the door six years ago,
trained her as a clerk/library aide, but now she feels she is ready to do
the professional part of my job. I had to sit down with her earlier this
fall and explain my description and her job description. She claims she
is my assistant and she is only "helping" me when she takes on
professional duties. There are physicians assistants and paralegals, but
they seem to be aware of boundries that seperate the para from the
professional.
