-----Original Message----- From: Susan Fulmer <Susan_F@treca.org> To: LM_NET <LM_NET@listserv.syr.edu> Date: Thursday, December 02, 1999 9:36 AM Subject: block and academic assist Hi! We are going to block scheduling next year with 4 blocks and an academic assist period over lunch. The library will be open over academic assist. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to run the scheduling when 1/3 of the school population will want to come? We The teachers in my school beg the students to go to the library to get them out of their rooms. My idea (so far) is too require them to be in the library for a purpose (ie. do research, get a book). Any thoughts on this? I need to figure out how to make a selection on who gets to use the computers, and who, if anyone can stay and read. If I say first-come-first-served I am afraid it will always be the same people. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for the help!
