By using the 440 tag you are automatically generating a series entry for
your OPAC. If you use the 490 tag, you will need to also use the 700 or
800 tag to create a series entry for your OPAC.. The 490 tag is to be
used if there is "no series-added entry to be made or for which the
series-added entry is in a form different from what appears in the
series statement." If you use the latter, you can sometimes cause
problems with the OPAC showing the same title twice-- which is okay if
you only two or three titles in the series. However, if you are talking
something like Goosebumps, you can have a mess.
