If you haven't changed over to the new AR 5, you should as it helps with
this problem. One of the options you can set for each individual child is
'how this book was read' to indicate if it was read TO them, read WITH them,
or read INDEPENDTLY, following the TWI premise. It appears that he has
auditory comprehension, but not without it. This would also help document
his reading difficulties.
