"Sweet Land of Liberty" program update as of Thursday, December 16, 1999.  =
This message supercedes previous messages posted to the AASLFORUM, =
AASLAFFILS, AASLNEWS and LM_NET lists.

The "Sweet Land of Liberty" program from the AASL Ninth National Conference=
 has been renamed for its broadcast by C-SPAN 2.  It will be called =
"Children's Authors on 20th Century U.S. History" and will be aired in its =
entirety, just over 2 hours in length.

The schedule of its broadcast has been changed to:

Saturday, April 8, 8AM Eastern/5AM Pacific
Saturday, April 8, 12PM Eastern/9AM Pacific

(According to C-SPAN 2, it will henceforth in 2000 airing children's =
related programs for Book TV only on Saturdays.)

Regarding curriculum or study guides to come out of this program, we =
expect a call from C-SPAN's education director this week.  We will post =
further information as it becomes available.
