I really need some suggestions on ordering signage. It is for a high school and I'd need shelf signs as well as Reference, Fiction, Nonfiction, etc. hanging signs. Any good ideas of places to order from, styles, recommendations on size or type, frequency of affixing signs or any other help would be most appreciated. In planning to order signs for the individual shelves, I have a concern because I often need to move books to make room for new sets or newly expanded topic purchases which can cause the overstuffed shelves to be shifted. That would complicate matters if shelves were specifically marked as they are now. Right now I mark each double section of shelf units with computer printed indicators such as REF 321.4 - 398.8 or FIC Ca - Fe. I do plan to weed more but cannot move books to have shelf units end with a particular letter or Dewey number. The bottom line is the ease of use for the students and I look to all of you for any expert advice that you can pass along. Thanks so much. Please send replies to me at address below.
