New Faculty Position

Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Library and Information Studies.
Develop and deliver courses in the areas of school library media and/or
information technology.  Faculty duties include teaching at both Kingston
and in the New England Regional Program during the academic year; student
advisement; service on committees; research and scholarly publication.

REQUIRED:  Doctorate in library and information science or related field by
January 1, 2000; master's degree from an ALA-accredited program;
demonstratable potential for highly effective teaching; demonstrable
potential for research, scholarship, and service;  teaching and research
interests in one or more of the following:  school library media services,
telecommunications, information science, information technology,
instructional technology, or appropriate related fields.

PREFERRED:  Professional experience in school library media services;
ability to teach one or more of the School's core courses and to participate
in interdisciplinary teaching and research.

This is a full-time, tenure track position beginning in spring 2000.  Review
