Popeye Question

Dear Friends,
I am hoping that among our members there is at least one Popeye fan who can
solve this question: A friend recently announced that he heard Warner Bros. was
finally going to allow Popeye to marry Olive Oyl. I asked what was going to
happen to Brutus? My friend said "you mean  Bluto". We went online to the Warner
Bros. Site and I did a search to find other references. There were Brutus hats
for sale, but the name Bluto was also found. Upon watching the cartoon, we
discovered that Popeye calls the character Bluto, but Olive Oyl calls him
Brutus. Which name is correct? If you can help, please email me direct.

I would love to be right on this little bit of trivia!
