Friends & Colleagues,

Thanks to input from several LM_NETters, All Together Now
has a resource assisting in the location, contacting, and
hiring of authors for schools visits. It's called Author!
Author! and you can find it at:

http://www.alltogethernow.org/docs/author.htm

It's not ONLY intended to aid in procuring author visits.
Indeed, some of the authors listed, such as Louisa May
Alcott and Hans Christian Andersen, are past their
school-visiting days. But Author! Author! also provides
links to books by and about the author, and to Home Pages
and other Websites celebrating the authors' works.

There's been a lot of discussion on LM_NET about author
visits lately, and so I thought I would remind everyone of
this resource. Only 36 or so authors are listed there now,
and I hope you will help fill out this resource by sending
in sites you find in support of your favorite authors
(there's a Contributor's Form on every Author! Author!
page).

Denell Hilgendorf's excellent "review" of George Shannon's
visit has led me to think we should add a feature to Author!
Author!--librarians' evaluations of author visits. Let me
know if you think that is a good idea, and, if you think it
is, I will add it.
