TECH:Deleting email

Dear colleagues,
        Has anyone had this problem before?  Frequently whenever I read an
email message and hit delete, the message right below also deletes
before I have a chance to read it!  I just noticed this happening last
night and again today.  I don't know if I didn't notice it before or it
just started. With all the email I get with LM_NET, I can't believe that
I wouldn't have noticed this before.  Any ideas?  I am using Netscape
Navigator 3.0 with Windows 95.
