HI!

Having been a member for a little over a year, I haven't posted a message
but a couple of times. But all of you are very helpful and, although this
has nothing to do with libraries I thought there might be someone out there
who might know (or know how to find out) about the following:

I have a musical instrument that is quite old and I have tried to find out
what it is, but have never been successful. It looks like an upright piano
and has the standard 88 keys. It has no stops, but it sounds like an organ.
There are two swells at the knees by which you can make it louder or softer.
To play it you have to pump two pedals. It says on the front, above the
keyboard, "Needham of New York". It has been suggested that it is a pump
organ, but it has no stops. Needham seems to be a puzzle. My father got it
from a funeral home in Parsons, Kansas that was being torn down and this
musical instrument was going to be junked. It is either walnut or cherry
and is in good condition. When we got it about 1958, we used to play it and
had fun with it as kids. It may be a harmonium or a melodeium, I just don't
know.

If anyone can be of help, I would appreciate it. Thanks you.
