fiction/nonfiction series(pb)

The principal called me at home in a panic. He needs to order a paperback
series that he saw---one short illustrated book (fiction) and one related
(nonfiction),probably 2-4th grade reading level. He thinks he remembers the
name "matchbooks". Sound familiar? Thanks in advance.
