Liz,Two things. One, I feel happy about reading pro lit at work
because it
directly affects good practice by informing me. I do get pangs
of guilt
being seen reading a mag at work for whatever reason, so I
might do it, say,
between collaborations or after a busy session. A better way is
to curl up
with a glass of whatever and read and browse at home. Make it a
treat.
In re: info overload, I write websites on my desk calendar (big
flat one on
my desktop) and then route them to appropriate teachers. I keep
a copy for
myself. This is easier to file away, and is also a valuable
communication
tool with teachers.
