Hi all, I am currently working on a project with some social studies teachers. They have requested sites about the social safety net in the U.S. and, ideally, a comparison of what is available in Canada versus the U.S. Please excuse my lack of knowledge in this area, but I know practically nothing about how things like health care, welfare, pensions, worker's compensation, etc., work in the U.S. I don't even know if they are federally legislated or if they vary by state. I seem to be wasting a great deal of time conducting lame searches. I would appreciate any help with sites available or anything that could point me in the right direction. Hope you can help a floundering Canadian, Kathy Thomson Teacher Librarian SBS Edmonton, Alberta kthomson@epsb.edmonton.ab.ca =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
