Hello group, I am getting ready to start my first professional job and, as it happens it is in a school that is undergoing consolidation. I am currently working on consolidating the two school libraries, and I am wondering how many encyclopedia sets I really need. I have two fairly recent (1997) sets of World Book, a couple of sets of New Book of Knowledge, and about 5-6 additional sets whose titles escape me at the moment. (I am at home and just thought to ask you experienced pros) This is a K-8 school with a population of around 230. We do not currently have access to an online encyclopedia, although that is a possibility in the next year or so. Shelf space is limited, so I don't want to keep more than I need, but I don't want to be short. I thought I'd offer whatever I don't keep to the teachers for their classrooms. Thanks for your input!
