Economics novel needed

Hello, all,
Hope everyone is having a fine summer.  Next year one of our social studies
teachers is incorporating literature in his classes.  This is high school
level - probably 9th -10th grade reading level.  He is looking for a novel
that deals in some fashion with economics.  Someone suggested the Great
Gatsby but it is required reading in another class.  Please - any
suggestions would be great.  I am excited that someone teaching a subject
other than language is interested in incorporating reading.  Please e-mail
me directly with your ideas.  Also if anyone knows a web site that might
help me - that would be fantastic.
