Our school policy is to place only the students' first names on the
website...we will do that with all the kids' web "stuff" (we also contribute
to the Explorers' website, so we include the teacher's full name, but only
the first names of the kids.)

We also have made a conscious decision to NOT put a map of the school on the
site...Given the times, why make it EASY to find someone?...Sad, but true.

We will not link email, nor will we put up staff photos or information
without their permission...Our local Assistant DA advised that the matter of
privacy has "yet to be tested in court" in this county, but that it would be
"wise" to be conservative when publishing personal information.

This is the disclaimer I added at the bottom of each page which contains
students' first names:

*** NOTE: Each student is duly recognized during the month for which they are
honored. However, the Dennis Earl AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) prohibits us
from listing students by full name on this website. Our slogan is "Children
FIRST" and we protect our students' and parents' right to privacy.

Hope this helps...If you care to see what we have done, our website has just
been published...it is still under construction...be kind! ;-)
