Here is a pretty good site that explains the do's and dont's of internet
copyright, such as the need to give credit to the creators of "free
graphics" if that is the desire of the graphic artist, obtaining permission
for usage on almost everything that is found on the net that does not
explicitely say "FREE", etc. Internet copyright is a new frontier, but the
thoughts and ideas posted on websites are given copyright status whether
they say they are copyrighted or not. This includes graphics, specially
written HTML script, java script, thoughts, ideas, etc., etc. If anyone
would like further clarification, or HTML help, etc., please feel free to
e-mail me directly. :-)

Subject: Re: books vs. computers -- again!

Hi LM_NETters! Did anyone else notice that this "wonderful" library only has
50 of these computers for patrons to use? If you use "real" books, you can
service many more patrons. I wonder how long their patrons are going to be
satisfied with an arrangement that cannot address the needs of the entire
campus? Marcy
