Attend the May Hill Arbuthnot Lecture, the CSLA Spring Meeting, and a Leadership Seminar. The School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University cordially invites you to attend the 1999 May Hill Arbuthnot Lecture featuring Lillian Gerhardt, sponsored by the Association for Library Service to Children. Ms. Gerhardt served as editor-in-chief of School Library Journal for thirty-two years. The lecture will be presented on Friday, April 16, 1999 at 4:30 p.m. in the Morris Dailey Auditorium. A reception will follow the lecture. In conjunction with the Lecture, the California School Library Association will hold its North Section Spring Workshop on Saturday, April 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at SJSU. Beginning in the Morris Dailey Auditorium, Dr. Marilyn Miller will give the keynote address, "Connecting with Information Power." Workshops and displays in the School of Library and Information Science, 6th Floor, Walquist North, will fill the remainder of the day. Cost: $15 (includes lunch) for CSLA members who register by April 5; $25 (includes lunch) for non-members by April 5; $30 for all registration after April 5. The Seminar will be followed with champagne and strawberries. All are invited.
