to become a more effective Web searcher, I strongly suggest that you purchase a
copy of this concise and understandable book:

Glossbrenner, Alfred and Emily. Search Engines for the World Wide Web, 2nd Edition
(Visual Quickstart Guide Series). Berkeley: Peachpit Press, 1999. ISBN:
0-201-35385-7 List price: $17.99

This book is well worth the money. Trust me.

Gabe :-)

From: Brenda Toschi <brtoschi@YAHOO.COM>
Subject: Tech: CD Writer

Dear LMNetters:

I have purchased a CD writer. In other words I am interested in creating original
CD's for student and public use. I don't have a clue on what software I need to make
these "gems" readable on other systems. I do not want to violate any copyright
issues. I am sure that I will need to install a "quick time" viewer on each CD. Does
anyone have the time to forward me the info? I am working with Win'98.

I also need a recommendation for a great scanner, hopefully not too expensive.

Also I need to know if anyone can tell me how to lock the CD writer so my generous
son can't share his CDs with his persistent friends and others that has offered to
pay him for illegal copies. He understands copyright rules but temptation and peer
pressure can be difficult to overcome. He gave a copy of one of my programs to a
special relative, just to be helpful.

Please respond to my personal email.
brtoschi@thesocket.com

Thanks for your wonderful help.
