Thanks, Ken, for bring this article to our attention. The only thing I thought was unfortunate about the article was the contrast between the <good> library, run by a "library technician" (?) and the <bad> library run by parent volunteers. "Library technician" is not a degreed, certificated LMS, is it? Or is there something I'm missing? Are professional school library media specialists called "library technicians" in California, or elsewhere? Or is this a hybrid? Too bad the article couldn't have showed the difference between an LMS-run school library, and a parent volunteer-run library.
