GEN: what you wish you had learned...

Good morning lm_net colleagues,
What do you wish you had learned in cataloging class?  If you have taken
a cataloging class in the last 10 years (or wish you had!), I would
appreciate hearing from you.  I will be teaching this subject for the
very first time soon, and would like to be able to include the skills
you find most essential in your day to day tasks.  Please reply to my
