I also believe in waste not want not - I do not charge the students for printing but on the laser printer I only let them print on scratch paper or recycled paper. The teachers and office staff send me their extra copies of anything (as long as nothing is on the back) and I use that for the students' printing. So far the students have not complained at all. If it is something that is to be turned in or special, then I let them print on new paper. It's amazing - I have been doing this for months and still haven't run out of scratch paper. I remember when I was in the classroom, I always had extra copies, etc. and I think the teachers are glad to get rid of some of this in their room and don't feel like they are just throwing it away. I even had the supt. send me some paper. Linda Smith, Lib.
