I also believe in waste not want not - I do not charge the students for
printing but on the laser printer I only let them print on scratch paper
or recycled paper.  The teachers and office staff send me their extra
copies of anything (as long as nothing is on the back) and I use that
for the students' printing.  So far  the students have not complained at
all.  If it is something that is to be turned in or special, then I let
them print on new paper.  It's amazing - I have been doing this for
months and still haven't run out of scratch paper.  I remember when I
was in the classroom, I always had extra copies, etc.  and I think the
teachers are glad to get rid of some of this in their room and don't
feel like they are just throwing it away.  I even had the supt. send me
some paper.
