Teacher computer-presentation stations

I need to know what schools are using, that they are happy with, for a
teacher's station that has a computer and some sort of projection device so
that the teacher can, for instance, call up a web site and have the entire
class view it.  I have seen pictures, on commercial sites, of TV's on carts
with computers; of computers and overhead projectors; and simply computers
with 22 inch monitors.  I would think that the first and last would be
difficult for all the children to see from their seats.  I want something
portable as it will be awhile before each teacher has, or even wants, a
computer teacher station permanently in the classroom.  Also, are the
computers at the teacher stations laptops so they can take them home? Thank
