Tech: Mac/Netscape

Dear LM_Netters,
 I have been informed by my ISP that I have to upgrade to Netscape 3.0
from my current 2.02 and they are sending me the disk or CD. I do not
want to lose the folders I have created on Netscape but have not been
able to download them to my hard drive (did it in the past, but am on
overload and just can't remember!). Can anyone send me the steps? I am
using a Mac 5260 with Netscape 2.02.
 And while I may have a few techies' attention, how do you know which
things to download when someone sends you a card or email that requires
you to have a plug in that you don't have? I usually get a screen that
says you can download all these Netscape ones, but never list the exact
one that you need. Where on the Mac does it list the plugins you have or
are they attached to the Netscape application?
 Still trying to learn it as I go and then pass it on to those at
school. Next year we are promised a tech to share among our four
elementary schools (have to pass that budget first). TIA
