Greetings! A first grade teacher has approached me with a proposal for next year. She would like to do an in-depth author study. She especially wanted to find an author who would either write or email her class (and I'm sure she meant the author would make one group reply, not answer each individually.) Has anyone done this? We are hoping to find primary level authors who might also have a web site that we could make available. I hope to come up with several authors - I have a feeling that once this teacher starts her project the other 5 first grades are going to want to do it, too. I'm desparately trying to get some cooperation going at this school. (Actually, the primary teachers are delightful - if you have any sure-fire scheme to get 4th and 5th grade teachers out of their chairs, please let me know!!!)
