It looks like it may have been a false alarm. After putting the young man = under the bright light in our interrogation room and talking with our = techy gods, the pieces to the puzzle fell into place. What he had was our = master password, not a universal password. Since it's not the password = that those of us at the building level have, the confusion was compounded. However, some excellent wisdom was shared with me, much of which is very = simple and practical...and so obvious that I'm going "DUH!" Contact the = manufacturer of the software, #1, if something like this appears to happen = to you. #2...there is a bootlock mode that must be enabled to prevent = bypassing the software in the first place. That's a critical option that = can easily be overlooked. Thanks to all who shared my woes but particular thanks to those who helped = with ideas. My apologies for the false alarm!
