Good Morning! Maybe I was just in a bad mood last night but... I started reading one of Nebraska's nominee's for the 1999-2000 Golden Sower Award called, "Stay: Keeper's Story," by Lois Lowry. It is in the 4-6 grade catagory. Granted I have not read the whole book yet, but with the half I have read, I've not been impressed. The choice of words used in the story seem too hard and inappropriate. I was just wondering if anyone else has read it and I would like to know your opinion. I can't see this being "award" material.
