As the cost of paper (and trees) continues to rise, how many of you
would be willing to go to a presenter's website to access the handouts
for a program, instead of collecting reams of paper that you have to
shlepp home from conferences. . . . and then often can't remember=20
why you even bothered to collect?

As I head to AASL, and get ready for my presentation on FLIP it!=99
on Thursday afternoon, I'm trying to figure out how many copies/pages
of handouts I should prepare (and how much room they'll take up in=20
my single carry-on suitcase).

And as a parsimonious person, I do resent those conference-goers who
either:
--collect handouts but never stay for the actual presentations, or
--take 'extras' for the folks at home.

In both cases, if often means that there aren't enough handouts now
available for those people who do actually stay for the whole workshop.

So: how do you-all feel about 'virtual handouts' , and bringing your own
notepad to take notes on?
