While we are on this subject..... Am I alone in thinking that dictionary, atlas and encyclopedia skills need to be taught to 2nd and 3rd graders? Some second grader teacher and I decided to give supplementary lessons in the LMC. I 've misplaced all the stuff I have gathered over the years. I had a minor cardiac arrest and then went on line. I found absolutely nothing after 3 days of searching. I gave up and designed a quick less-than-spectacular worksheet and did the lessons. Since I found nothing even in non-media lesson plan sites, who *is* teaching this basic research skill???? Best to all......... ===== T. K.
