  Lost address of requestor.  So everyone gets my opinion of the reference
set History of US:

We own the set in paperback.  Our teacher of American history in the
middle school does not assign much research, but I love the books.  Format
is attractive.   Many sidebars with tidbits of interesting information.
Lots of pictures or sketches from primary sources.  Conversational style
with many questions discussing  issues of what was considered moral in
past as opposed to today.  I recommend it.
