Dear LM Netters, I have a tough request. A first grader lost his mother after a long battle with cancer and I am to select an appropriate memorial book. The mother was a prominent, well loved citizen who was the head of the equestrian center at the local university. She also had ten world championships in roping; her rodeo team at the university also won several championships under her tutelage. The principal wants the memorial book to be about a women or girl rodeo rider. The closest and only book about rodeo that I have is the Bill Pickett story. Unfortunately, that might not be appropriate in this particular town. Does anyone have any suggestions for an easy book about a rodeo girl?
