Hummm,
This one resonates. Though I agree about the value of notecards in
organizing material, I would not myself choose to use them in an electronic
world. I am so used to cutting and pasting my own stuff and copying
quotes works so much better when you can simply paste them. And so I have
been toying with creating electronic notecards.

They'd fill my English department's need for print product and would
automatically cue students about the types of info they'd need for
various sources. (I've been using print templates for years.) They'd
satisfy the many students (and me) who can't really see the need to
recopy information only to key it in again later.

I am thinking of something a bit less wonderful then the wizards in the
new version of World Book. They are great, but I'd need to tweak them.

I figured I would keep these templates in a file on the network. Is
anyone else out there working on the same type of device? Should I
prepare them as a PDF file and then have the kids import them into Word?

Anyone want to collaborate on this one?
