I would have to agree with most of the comments about these books!  The
books have been very popular with my adult women prisoners as many tend to
be from very dysfunctional backgrounds and relate to Dave.

I would be very careful about putting them in the middle grades though?  How
are they hearing about the book?   I'm sure our middle school people out
there could recommend other books that will fill the need.

 I may have to read them one of these days just to see what the furor is all
about!  Shonda's comments about the explicit descriptions of the abuse may
make them problematic for my collection!
