Can you format unformatted disks on a Gateway Windows 98 computer? I tried to format some previously unformatted disks (I decided to clean up around my computer and discovered them) and the disk drive would spin, but I couldn't get the format command on the screen when I tried to select the A drive and ended up pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE to stop the disk drive from spinning. I formatted the same disks in my Macintosh using the DOS format and now they work fine in the Gateway. Can anyone tell me what is going on and why I can't format them in the Gateway? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Madeline L.
