Target: Middle School wit (or without) block scheduling

Dear Fellow LM_Netters,
The "great debate" has reared up again at my school. Four years ago we had a
huge go-round re:block schedules. Feelings were hurt, grudges carried,
people left. You get the picture - it wasn't pretty. The suggestion has come
up again, so I am asking: if you are on block schedules, what have you found
to be the pros and the drawbacks for the students. I need that information.
Have test scores risen, declined, no change? Also, if your school was using
some type of block schedule and stopped, why? Please reply to me directly,
and I do so appreciate this group. A big thank you in advance.
