Dear Fellow LM_Netters, As a newbie, I echo the sentiment of all who have expressed great appreciation for this community of library professionals. I really can't express what a tremendous help you all have been in responding to requests for information. And as a newbie, it is tremendously tempting to ask you all every question that pops up in this first year - I have so much to gain and you have so much experience and understanding. However, as many of you have put it, it is crucial that I practice my own research skills in locating the information I need - exhausting those resources first before coming to you. I'm not afraid to post questions - just challenged (and rightly so) to do my own search first. For example, now that I know how to access the archives (just learned this past week that it existed), I've already answered two of my own queries rather than taking up all of your time. It's empowering to learn how to locate information without relying on the "experts" all the time. Of course, there will still be stumpers to post to the group and I won't hesitate to post those targets. But only after I have done my own leg work. This is a great community and I'm sure that we'll work out the wrinkles through good, "giving the benefit of the doubt", communication. Thanks to all for their part in LM_Net.
