I'm a little behind on my mail, but I thought I would share my experiences with sales phone calls. I just tell them I'm not interested and hang up. I don't even let them get too far in their pitch. As for interrupting them, I don't worry about it. After all, they interrupted whatever I was doing. I DO make sure I am polite (which I am not always at home). The first year I was working here, my principal called me in to say that a salesman had called him to report that I had been rude to him on the phone! So...I decided I needed to be polite to protect my job. Not that I believe in using foul language or anything, but... Even Ann Landers says that people have phones for their own convenience, and that sales calls are an intrusion. Thanks for listening.
