Good evening LM_Netters... Still being fairly new to the field and certified K-12, I'm considering the various possibilities for my career. I'll admit, only after a few years I'm weary of the fixed vs. flexible schedule situation for elementary SLMS's... I get the feeling that wherever I land I'll continually be faced with this struggle to define my position and always be vulnerable to the risk of the school district adjusting my job to appease teachers during contract negotiations, etc... What I'm wondering... am I falling into "the grass is always greener" mistake? Or have any of you who've hightailed from elementary to middle or high schools found that you do prefer the change? I'd be interested in any pros/cons any of you may see that I may be missing. I appreciate and thank you for your thoughtful and knowledgeable responses ahead of time :) HKS Media Specialist Oakland County, MI ac2091@wayne.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
