Target: Bulbs in Display

I have three or four display cases with small two prong bulbs.  They are one
year old. Out of eight bulbs none still burn.  I replaced one bulb and it
now works, when I insert it into another display case socket it does not
work.

Any comment or suggestions are appreciated.
