I finally am doing it! (Rather, a parent I trust is...) I hate my card
catalog, an inheritance of dubious background. Millions of cards in all
states of being. - IF each card followed some INDENTICAL format ie, same
type, same info, same everything it wouldn't be so bad. She is
separating subject cards from author and title cards.  This way, IMHO
even little guys can use it without getting in a tither. AND since this
is the ONLY catalog they will probably ever see again, and our public
library is of course on line it makes sense for me to concentrate on
teaching them keywords etc than the fine differences between the cards.
I can't wait to see it work....
