2 September Dear LM_Netters. Several years ago, we decided to modify our folklore cataloging to meet local needs, primarily student requests and teacher assignments. It's worked for us. Titles by Grimm and Andersen are cataloged using Grimm or Andersen no matter who did the retelling. Extremely popular titles such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Arabian Nights, etc., are cataloged with title main entries to keep all the versions together. Retellers are listed in the PAC. We met as a group to choose the titles which would get the special treatment. We've also used the same strategy for popular fiction such as the many Star Wars titles. It keeps them all together.
