Our 5th grade English teacher would like to add another novel to her class. For summer reading they used Number the Stars and Frindle. During the year they read Johnny Tremain and Lincoln: A Photobiography. An historical novel would be great (to go along with the history study of colonial times), but she would really like something 'amusing', not too 'heavy', and enjoyable for the children. Any suggestions? Thank you.
