MID: Reading Book Aloud/Geography based

One of our middle grades teacher has asked me to find a book for her to
read to her class. It can be fiction, fact or biography. Her main and
primary goal is to ask her 'listeners' to identify and perhaps discuss the
geographic aspects of this chosen title. This title would need vivid
description of places, location, something identifiable.
Any takers????
