 Although I have been concerned about the ongoing tirades of Dr. Laura, I do
have to agree with Peter's decision, based on another listserv that I belonged
to that is not well moderated.  Although I needed that listserv, which serves
parents of children with a rare disability that our oldest son has, probably
more than I do this listserv (which I need and use tremendously), I ended up
dropping it after being upset for about the hundredth time over the endless
quibbling.  Hitting the delete button is not that good a solution.

What Peter does is, yes, a form of censorship but his "moderate" actions also
preserve the integrity of this listserv.
