Target: What are your favorite K-2 books?

I am working with two high school students who want to select and read
books to the K-2 classes at our nearby elementary school.  Can you
recommend 5-10 (or more or fewer) of your favorite titles to them?  While
they are looking at Best Book lists, etc., we feel that the best selections
would come from experts like you.  Thanks in advance.
