Dear LM_Netters:
Happy Unlurking Day! I've been happily lurking since January 1999 when =
I was completing my MLS at Indiana University. I am newly employed as =
Information Specialist/Librarian at Shenango High School in New Castle, =
PA. We serve 700 students 7-12, and they love their Library Information =
Center. I couldn't ask for a better position, or profession! =20
I have learned so very much from lurking; this listserv is tremendously =
helpful. In fact, I pestered everyone here (nicely, of course) to get =
an email account. . . not so much for my missed friends across the U.S., =
but for the professional service YOU all provide. Thank you so very =
much, Peter and Mike, for the great organization and for making =
connections to 11,000 school librarians so easy, and thank you to every =
member who contributes (or lurks) and makes our work easier. The =
archives have had many answers for me, as well. Many times you've =
alerted me to something I hadn't considered; many times you've discussed =
something that I'd been questioning myself. The details, procedures, =
ideas, decisions, etc you provide--not to mention the support in this =
easily isolated profession--has been invaluable. Thank you! You'll =
probably be hearing more from me this year!
