Hi,
I have been a teacher-librarian in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
for 29 years. Times have sure changed in that time!
I am at Dr. George M.Weir Elementary (K-7) and due to budget cutbacks in
Vancouver, I spend 1/2 my day being the "Prep" teacher. We hope to
throw our school trustees out in a November election.
I created and maintain our school's web site (http://weir.vsb.bc.ca/).
We plan to have students taking a more active part in it this year. I
also have a home web site (http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/valh/). Most of
our school's computers were linked to the web in June. Last year only 3
were (1 in the library). Now the library will have 4 connected. My web
site was intended to provide a starting point for student research.
