I am a librarian at a small K-8 Catholic elementary school. I enjoy reading the messages on LM_NET and I have learned quite a bit about making my job easier! Thank you! I have 5 computers in the library and I use the Follett Unison Version 2.0 system on a Mac. I've always liked Follett because it has been so easy to use and upgrade. However, I am now in the process of converting and installing the new Follett Version 4.0 and I am ready to tear my hair out! I am frustrated because I just don't have the technical expertise to do it! I have been on the phone with Follett Tech Support so often and I still can't do it. In addition, they sent the wrong numbers for installing the new network. I finally called our local tech group that takes care of our computer maintenance. He spent ALL day today, called Follett at least twice, and can't believe they expected us to do this kind of upgrade. Is anyone else experiencing these problems? After I settle down and get things running again, I will call them and talk to them but in the meantime, call me "frustrated." Thanks for listening!
